Skizzleplex Appreciation Day!

I know what you’re thinking: “Is it really February 24th again, already?!!”

Not quite yet, but it’s right around the corner!

This year, to mark Skizzleplex Appreciation Day, I thought of having a fun contest to reward all the loyal readers of this fast-growing media darling.

Here’s how it works: You drop off a copy of Skizzleplex at a place where people are likely to pick it up and read it. You take a picture of it in said location, post it in the comments below and the most interesting/daring/beneficial (to my career) place wins a prize!

What kinds of places would be good candidates for this?

  • The pile of magazines in the waiting room at your dentist’s office.
  • The humor section of your local library.
  • The lobby of CAA.
  • Conan O’Brien’s house.
  • The writer’s office of The Simpsons.

These are just examples to get you started. Let your imagination run wild! You might have to do this “on the sly” as this sort of thing might be frowned upon in certain circles, but you don’t care about that, do you? You’re a rebel. You don’t play by their rules! Just like Skizzleplex!

Let me stress that this is a real contest and that the winner will get an actual, real prize, not just something stupid and made up like I usually do.

First prize is the Troy McClure action figure pictured above. It has some slight warping on the back of the box, due to some small water damage, but seriously, you can barely tell and the figure itself is still like he was the day he was sealed inside. In addition to this, the first prize winner will win their choice of the two headshots below, autographed by me, with any message you desire.

Second and third prizes will receive one of these two headshots at random and though they will be signed to you, the message that comes along with them is entirely of my choosing.
